Coach Alec Kerdell

Five years on a college bench.

I’m Alec Kerdell. I spent five years coaching college basketball at Daemen University and the University of Vermont, with four trips to the NCAA Tournament.

Now I use what I learned in those film rooms to help high-school players read the game faster, make better decisions, and understand why plays work.

“Watching film is a key part to self improvement and achieving your goals. That’s why my mission is to grow the game in a different way—by making film study accessible to more players and helping them understand the game through the eyes of a college coach.”

“Alec helped me learn to visualize the game in a completely different way, especially through our film sessions, which really helped me grow as a player and understand the game on a deeper level. Beyond basketball, he was always someone I could go to whether I needed to talk about basketball, life, or anything in between, and he was a solid person I always knew I could count on.”

“Working with Alec on film was a really valuable experience. His breakdowns were detailed, well thought out, and focused on the things I could actually improve in my game. He was always willing to answer questions and explain the reasoning behind what he was showing, which helped me better understand the game and see different aspects of my own performance. He really helped me become a better player, and it was nice working with him because he was approachable and easy to work with.”

What actually changes.

Built for high-school players ready to take the next step. Every session is planned around your game, not a generic playbook.

  • Decision-making.

Why you passed up that shot, and what the better read was.

  • Spacing.

Where you were standing when the play broke down, and where you should’ve been.

  • Habits.

The one or two things to focus on next practice, not a list of twenty.
